We’re becoming old hands at this Zooming lark, having just held our third virtual meeting since lockdown.  It was great to welcome several guests to our number, some or all of which we hope will join.  We were very pleased to see several members of staff from the Wimbledon School of English (WSE), who, despite being very significantly impacted by COVID 19, are working very hard to move as many courses online as possible.  Our very best wishes go to them in keeping their school going, despite  a distinct lack of help from Merton Council in providing any sort of rates relief.

Annette Wiik - Yoga Teacher

Thank you also to Annette Wiik from Annette Wiik yoga .  It was great to have her help us move and stretch and give us some tips on mindfulness to keep us all healthy in mind and body.  Although we have cracked the Zoom thing in many respects, I’m not sure we were all filming our best sides during our yoga session.  There were definitely some creative camera angles in evidence!!

Let’s hope as lockdown eases further, we will back to our usual venue of the Hand in Hand in Wimbledon for our next meeting.  We are all very much looking forward to seeing each other in real life, but know how fortunate we have been to have such amazing technology available to us, to enable us to keep in touch.

Finally, thanks again to Sapna Gaur, a WordPress web designer and graphic designer and Tiba Al Khalidy, an accountant, both of whom joined us for a second time.
